ABSTRACT

In this paper we present a numerical model for the study of thermal convection in a two-layer system of immiscible incompressible fluid. The results of two-dimensional numerical simulation are compared with experimental data on the hydrodynamics and heat exchange within a horizontal two-layer medium consisting of two immiscible liquids of different densities and viscosities.
