ABSTRACT

On the basis of two-dimensional numerical modelling of the combustible mixture venting, an interpretation of abnormal initiation of detonation observed in experimental works was given. The calculations showed that the background of the phenomenon can be attributed to spontaneous flame acceleration. The effect of the length of attached ventilation ducts is discussed.
