ABSTRACT

Based on the actual theoretical studies, a mathematical model of the heat and mass transfer processes within the desiccant particle was proposed. To solve the problem, the Crank-Nicholson scheme coupled with Gauss elimination algorithm was applied. The numerical simulation allowed to obtain the water content distribution on radial direction at different moments and the evolution of average solid parameters (water content, temperature) during adsorption and desorption stages.
