ABSTRACT

An approximated equilibrium model, for bio-magnetic fluid flow, is used to numerically investigate the biomagnetic fluid downstream an eccentric stenotic orifice. The model retains the angular momentum equation to the algebraic expression of the equality of the symmetry of the stress tensor. An external magnetic field is applied at different locations down stream the stenotic orifice. Among other changes in the flow pattern, it is found that based on the magnetic field strength and its location, the shear stress and the reattachment point downstream the stenotic orifice change. The location of the magnetic field location affects both the circulation at the area of the stenotic step as well as the circulation emerging from the upper wall.
